Baby Roomby Maria Schasteen

Selecting and decorating a baby room is a matter of love and care. Much thought and effort goes into manifesting that perfect baby room. The baby room should be a calm and relaxing room. It should be a spacious and bright area too, furnished and equipped to provide comfort and stimulation for your baby.

Where you live will probably dictate whether a separate baby room, or nursery, is the norm. Your budget and living accommodation will also influence, whether you are able to provide your new baby with a separate nursery.

A baby nursery, or separate bedroom for a new born, can be a difficult choice for new parents: "Should we put our new baby in her own nursery room, or do we have her in our bedroom in a crib, or even in our bed?" There are conflicting opinions about the choice of having your baby in your bed. Follow your instinct. Normally your baby should not sleep in your bed - it could be dangerous. Instead have the baby in its own crib near by where you can hear it.

A separate baby room brings with it a number of important advantages, for the baby and the parents. The baby will sleep undisturbed by parents coming and going. The parents will sleep better too. The baby is more likely to grow into a strong and independent child, with a large amount of confidence.

Some first-time parents will worry that they will not hear the baby if they are asleep and the baby is in a separate room. There is no need to worry; the mother especially will be tuned in to the cry of the baby, and will be subconsciously alert to the slightest sound. In addition you can get a baby monitor - See the different models here.

When you plan for a baby room, let your imagination play. Paint the baby room in bright colors. Wall paintings or pictures will interest your baby soon. Play soft music. Read to your baby. While you may think your baby does not understand a thing, your baby knows. It is Soul - it just knows. Mother's voice is music to its heart. And soon it will begin to learn from you. Scientists have discovered that babies that were read to develop a greater intelligence.

And don't forget to scent the crib with essential oils of lavender and chamomile to relax, or lemongrass and peppermint to get active. (Read the care instructions for babies when using essential oils. Never use oils undiluted on a baby.) Diffuse essential oils in the baby room. Scents go directly to the memory center of the brain to heal and comfort.
