Three-Part Yoga Breathing Technique:
Use frankincense essential oil in doing this three-part yoga breathing technique. First, prepare your bottle of frankincense oil and lie on the floor. Your position should be your back with your bent knees. Place a drop of oil into your palm and gently rub your hands together to spread the oil onto your both palms evenly.
Step #1: Bring your palms with frankincense essential oil on it to your nose and inhale deeply. For ten breaths, keep focus on lifting your navel and lower abdomen. You can now rest your hands on your lower abdomen after your three to five inhalations. This is to concentrate on sending the air to your lower abdomen. Completely exhale before doing your next inhalation.
Step #2: Put another drop of frankincense essential oil to your palm and evenly distribute the oil as described above. Again, bring your oiled palms to your nose and begin another round of ten breaths. This time, you have to concentrate your breathing in your mid rib cage area and middle abdomen. To help you focus your breath on your rib cage, rest your hands in that area. Then, fully exhale all the air out of your lungs after your tenth breath. You will also feel your navel draw up toward your spine.
Step #3: For the third time, apply another drop of frankincense oil to your palms. Inhale for another ten breaths concentrating on filling your upper lungs and upper chest. In focusing on the upper region of your lungs, you have to put your hands on your collarbones.
Remember to keep each inhalation and exhalation equal in length. Using frankincense essential oils in doing this three-part yoga breathing technique helps you in keeping a calm mind and bringing harmony into your whole body.
